Emmaline provides care in a safe and fun environment. She has access to all materials that are available at Emily's Early Learning Adventures including climbers, trampolines, toys, books, and sensory activities. She has completed a babysitting course through Iowa State and is Red Cross certified. 

* I, Emily Schlater, will always be present and available while she has children in her care* 

We do not offer short notice babysitting or drop-ins. Requests need to be made no later than 48 hours of wanted date and times. 

$15/hour per child enrolled at Emily's Early Learning Adventures 

$20/hour per child not enrolled at Emily's ELA 

- All siblings are an additional $2/hour per sibling 

- Half of the payment is due at drop off and the rest of the pay is due upon pick-up. If this is not honored, the child will not be allowed to receive babysitting services moving forward 

- Cash only payment

Emmaline's availability varies each week. We will look at and respond to the babysitting request forms in the order in which they were received. 

* Babysitting services are not available on any major holidays 

* Emmaline's Babysitting Adventures operates from 9:00 am - 10:00 pm on days in which EELA is closed and she is available

* If you need additional hours from 6:00 am - 9:00 am or 10:00 pm - 2:00 am an additional $5/hour per hour is required

- Emmaline and I will review this form and see if your family is a good fit for her and her services 

- I will reach out and contact you, either way 

- You only need to fill out the Interest Form one time per year

***If you are enrolled in Emily's Early Learning Adventures you do not need to fill out the interst form

To request a specific date and time for services, please fill out the Babysitting Request form at the bottom of this page. We will look over our calendars and get back to you within 24 hours. 

* Any service lasting longer than two hours and less than four hours will include a snack 

* Any service lasting longer than 4 hours and less than 5.5 hours will include a meal 

* Any service lasting longer than 5.5 hours and less than 7.5 hours will include a snack and a meal 

* Any service lasting longer than 7.5 hours and less than 10 hours will include two snacks and one meal 

* Any service lasting over 10 hours will include two meals and two snacks

- If the child naps, those hours are included in the calculations for snacks and food 

- If the services are late in the evening and the child is sleeping for the night, those hours are not included in the calculations for snacks and food

- Parents can provide their own snacks and meals if they would like 

- If the child is unable to eat table food, parents are to provide formula, bottles, and baby safe snacks 

- Children will be respectful of our home, rules, and our belongings. If this becomes an issue, they will not be welcomed back. 

- If a child shows any signs of illness, they will not be watched that day. If they become ill during care, they will need to be picked up immediately. Parents should have a back-up plan for someone to pick up their child if they are not within 30 minutes of our home. 

- Parents are allowed to bring snacks and meals if they prefer.  

- Parents are to provide bottles and formula for infants 

- We understand that children can become upset when parents leave. We have a wealth of knowledge and tools to help them calm down and enjoy their time. If they are inconsoleable after an hour, we will ask you to return and pick them up. If you prefer to have us call sooner than that, we will. 

- We have nap mats for children to use with clean sheets. If your child will be napping during their stay, please provide a blanket and anything else your child prefers to sleep with 

- If you are not going to be able to return at your scheduled time, this needs to be addressed immediately. We have to confirm that we are still able to watch your child/ren. If you know in advance that it is an event that could run late or not sure when you will be back, please use the latest possible time as part of the request so that we can be available if needed. If you are late and it has not been brought to our attention, a $20 fee will be added per half hour past the scheduled pick-up time. 

0-29 minutes = 20 dollar additional charge

30-59 minutes = 40 dollar additional charge and so on
